Who am I?

Born & raised in Lanesborough MA.

Both of my parents were nurses at BMC. I attended both versions of Lanesborough Elementary School. I graduated from MGRHS in 2009. I lived in Albany, NY for a few years after I graduated college in 2013. My field of interest has always been social work or service based positions. I've worked at a handful of local restaurants in both the front and the back of the house. The last 8 years of my professional work experience in nonprofits is mostly as a case manager for adolescent trauma programs and family court services, including Pittsfield's Brien Center. I also worked for Berkshire Community College's Service-Learning program for 2 years and while I was in that position held a seat on the Berkshire Young Professionals Steering Committee. For the last two years, I have been a member of a local artist collective based out of North Adams called Common Folk.

I believe my unique combination of work experience in both working class and professional fields demonstrates that I am a highly qualified candidate. I have all the the required hard skills to be able to fulfill the duties of this position. I'm a quick learner so I don't really buy the line "you don't know how things work around here".

It seems to me that parts of the local government have become comfortably complacent. I'm ready to shake things up. I am not seeking validation from any current standing political figures. I am here to represent this vision of Lanesborough and "playing politics" is of no interest to me. I believe that a local government should provide services to care for its residents and that is what I will put all of my energy behind.

I lost my job because of covid and was able to qualify for unemployment. Having the down time to study and organize while also having the privilege of financial security and knowing I have a weekly income is what enabled me to run in the first place. I like to playfully joke that my campaign is funded by the federal government and this is me reallocating federal funds into my local economy.

I am not interested in fundraising. I do not want anyone's money, just your vote.

If you support my vision, I'd be honored to have your vote. If you don't support my vision, that's okay just don't vote for me.

Why am I running?

I love Lanesborough and want to be involved with the future vision of the Town.

In 2020, I ran for an appointed position on the Police Advisory Review Committee. The current selectmen, with the exception of Michael Murphy, voted against my appointment. They chose to appoint previous Selectman Hank Sayers. While I understand that Hank Sayers has served our community for quite some time, that vote showed me that they felt Lanesborough was not ready for new leadership. Personally, I don't think that's true. I think Lanesborough is ready for the next generation of leadership and the energy that comes with it. So, I decided to run for Select Board and figured that I'd leave it up to the residents of Lanesborough to choose what type of leadership they want for themselves.
